Contact Lenses: We verify orders by either obtaining a copy of the prescription from you via upload, fax, or e-mail or by contacting the prescribing doctor’s office directly. WebEyeCare follows the Fairness to Contact Lens Consumers Act (FCLA) when verifying prescriptions. FCLA states that doctors have eight business hours to respond to our verification request. If we do not hear back from the doctor within the eight business hour timeframe, FCLA states that this is to be treated as a passive verification and the order will be considered verified as correct by the doctor and we will proceed to process and ship the order.
Glasses: We require you to send a copy of your complete glasses prescription to us via fax or email if ordering prescription glasses. A complete glasses prescription will include the powers prescribed and your PD measurement. If a copy cannot be sent, we require the prescribing doctor's name and phone number so the prescription can be obtained.
